You Want Game (youwantgame.com) is operated by Soho Technology LLC of Charleston, South Carolina ("we"). It is a private, invite-only app for organizing real-world games. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
Your name, email address, mobile number, home zip code and any other zip codes you add, the sports you play and your rating, who invited you, the groups and matches you are part of and your In/Out answers. If you opt in to text messages, a record of that consent (time, IP address, browser and the exact wording). Basic security logs (sign-ins, IP address).
How we use it
To run the service: verify that you are a real person, let organizers invite you, record your In/Out answers, and send the messages you asked for about your games. We collect the minimum we need.
Who sees what
Other members see your name and rating, and only for matches and groups you share. Your phone number and email are shown only to members you are connected with both ways (you are in each other's People - for example the person who invited you, or someone you added back), and to our administrators. They are never shown to anyone else, and there is no member directory of contact details. Matches are visible only to the people invited to them. There are no public profiles or listings.
Text messages (SMS)
If you opt in, we text you about games you are invited to: invites with In/Out links, Game On, a weather heads-up and a reminder. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See text message terms.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Opt-in data and consent are shared only with the providers that deliver our messages (our SMS and email services), and only to deliver them.
Local partners
Some emails and match pages may show one local partner (for example, a racquet stringer). Partners never receive any information about you.
Service providers
We use hosting, email, SMS (Twilio) and bot-protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) providers to run the service. They may use your information only to provide those services to us. We do not sell personal information.
Your choices
You can see your details on your Account page and delete your account there at any time; deleting removes your contact details, sports and groups. You can stop texts by replying STOP. Questions: help@youwantgame.com.
